The Charleston Area Medical Center is recruiting a full-time Child Psychiatrist as a Family Resource Center Medical Director (outpatient) and is located at Women and Children’s Hospital. You have the option of either employment or as an independent contractor. The Family Resource Center is located at Women and Children’s Hospital.
Minimum qualifications MD/DO, BE/BC in Child Psychiatry with a preference for an Adult/Adolescent Psychiatrist. Ability to obtain a WV medical license as well as privileges at the Charleston Area Medical Center.
Flexible work schedule. After hours call is triaged by frontline staff, and you are only called for your own patients if there is an emergency.
Psychiatric Evaluations/Counseling services offered at the Family Resource Center are:
• Counseling for individuals, couples, adolescents and children, psychiatric evaluations/medical interventions
• Counseling that deals with family issues such as:
o Parenting different ages and stages
o Couples
o Divorce/blended families
o Infertility counseling
o Women's health issues
o Pregnancy loss
o Grief and loss
o Stress management
