Milwaukee, WI (Metro Amenities - Lake Michigan - Easy Access to Chicago) - Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist Opportunity (Outpatient Only)

Due to the heightened demand for behavioral health services within the medical group and the recent departure of one provider, the group is looking to add one child and adolescent psychiatrist. This opportunity is for outpatient-only practice, as our inpatient unit serves strictly adult and geriatric patients (more on that below).

Our current child psychiatrist, Paul Larson, M.D., spends some of his time each week at our main outpatient office in the professional building adjacent to Waukesha Memorial Hospital (WMH). The rest of his time each week is spent at our facility in Oconomowoc. We would anticipate the new provider would also spend some time each week at our main office adjacent to WMH, but then also spend time at our facility in Brookfield or possibly Pewaukee or Sussex. We are somewhat flexible as to exact locations.

Our psychiatric inpatient unit is a 22-bed locked unit. Fourteen of those beds are for general adult, while eight of those beds are dedicated to geriatrics. There is no child and adolescent inpatient. There are also two seclusion rooms on the unit. The staff also includes numerous psychologists and social workers, and 20+ therapists. The average length of stay is five days.
