Job Summary:

Health System is seeking a child and adolescent psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary behavioral health team in Western North Carolina.

Qualified Candidates:
  • Board certified or board eligible
  • Practicing physicians and new grads are encouraged to apply
  • Please note that this position does not offer visa support

About Behavioral Health Services:
  • Nine bed adolescent and eight bed child psychiatry unit
  • Three adult, one geriatric, one child, and one adolescent inpatient unit - totaling 82 beds
  • 23-bed emergency department psychiatric evaluation area and 10-bed behavioral health pod in the new hospital emergency department
  • Consultation on the pediatrics service and in the emergency department
  • Active ECT program
  • Involvement in teaching and supervision as part of new residency training program with academic appointment possible
