Child Psychologist comfortable with all lifespan as he/she would see adults in our detox unit if the child census is low.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
License/Certification/Special Requirements:
- Clear and active license in the state of Florida.
- Board certified or board eligible.
- Clear and active DEA registration.
- Active CPR/BLS certification.
- Must complete full TACT training upon hire and maintain certification.
- Must take on-call one day a week (Mon-Fri); Will also have the option to make additional funds if provider picks up an additional on-call shift @ $300 per day (on-call is from 5PM – 8AM from home)
- Salary Range: $240K - $260K
- $2000 Stipend for CEUs per calendar year
- 5 days of Administrative leave to use for CEUs per calendar year
- 20 days of PTO for the first 5 years of FT employment
- 9 Observed holidays

Education, Training, Years of Experience:
• M.D. or D.O. from an accredited college or university.
• An approved residency in psychiatry.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• Must be knowledgeable and demonstrate competency in current principles and practices of healthcare delivery to behavioral health clientele
• Must be knowledgeable and demonstrate competency in current computer skill.
• Demonstrates ability quickly assess situations and use sound judgement in applying medical or emergency intervention techniques.
• Demonstrates knowledge and competency in timely and accurate documentation of client care and in accordance with The Centers’ policy and procedure.
Machines, equipment used:
• General office equipment such as phone, copier, computer, etc.

Physical Requirements:
• Good visual acuity and ability to communicate.
• Ability to lift, lower, push, pull and retrieve objects weighing a minimum of 30 pounds. Reasonable assistance may be requested when lifting, pushing and/or pulling which exceeds the minimum requirements.
• Ability to withstand prolong standing and walking. Also able to sit, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach, stoop, bend, and/or kneel during an 8-12 hour day.
• Must have the ability to move rapidly and assist in the containment of agitated clients.
Environmental Conditions:
• Indoor, temperature controlled, smoke-free environment. Occasional outdoor exposure.
• Exposure to chaotic crisis and detox unit environments.
• Moderate noise level.
• May be exposed to disorganized and aggressive clients and required to participate in containment activities.
Proficiency or Productivity Standards
• Has regular, reliable and predictable attendance and punctuality.
• May be required to work weekdays and/or weekends, evening and or night shifts as needed.
• May be required to work on religious and/or legal holidays on scheduled days/shifts.
• Will be required to work as necessary during disaster situations, i.e., before, during or after a disaster.
• May be required to stay after workday to assist after a disaster situation until relief arrives.
• May be required to perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
