Fairmount Behavioral Health System in Philadelphia is currently recruiting a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team.
The new addition to our group of Psychiatrist will see patients on our inpatient units. A fully staffed support team is ready to assist the new Physician in meeting the unique Psychiatric needs of patients on the units.
Duties of the position will include admission evaluations, treatment team leadership, discharge summaries and daily care of patients. There is weekend call 0f 4-6 weekends a year to come in for rounds on patients. Extra call is additional pay if taken.
Fairmount has five (5) adult inpatient units and five (5) Child/Adolescent inpatient units.
The residential Chemical Dependency program at Fairmount has two gender specific rehabilitation programs, as well as a coed Detox program.
Fairmount also has an Acute Partial Hospitalization Program (Adolescent) that provides a vital alternative for those who do not require inpatient treatment, need intensive follow-up after inpatient stay, or lack enough support at home to be successful as an outpatient.
The compensation structure for this position can be that of an employed physician with salary and benefits or, if preferred, an independent contractor with reimbursement for patient contacts.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The qualifications for the position are the minimum requirements needed to be successful in the position. The level of experience and expertise for the job is determined by the current amount of expertise in the unit/department. If training or experience is not required but would be desirable, it is listed as preferred however; persons without preferred background will be considered in the hiring process.
Education, Training & Experience (includes licenses or certifications).
1. MD/DO degree from an accredited program required
2. Board certified or Board Eligible in C/A Psychiatry required
3. Licensed to practice in the State of Pennsylvania or ability to obtain a PA medical license.
4. Minimum of five years of training/practice experience
5. Inpatient experience preferred
6. Meets all credentialing criteria required by participating physicians
