Seeking an Adult or Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist working a 0.6 FTE for Eating Disorders in our Bethesda, Maryland location.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Typical patient load for full time psychiatrists includes an average of 18-24 patients per week. Inpatients are generally seen by psychiatrists daily; Residential and PHP patients are generally seen by psychiatrists twice weekly and a third time if needed.
  • PHP setting
  • Schedule: 0.6 FTE - schedule flexible
  • Treating ages 12+ Seeking Adult and Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist (either/or)
  • PHP treatment 6-8 weeks.
  • Working with same treatment team, 3-4 therapist
  • Full-support staff; Dieticians, ProT, PriT, Clinical Manager, Admin, Case Manager, Therapist, NP/PA.
  • Obtain medical histories, and order, perform and interpret diagnostic tests
  • Achieve quality metrics by focusing on clinically relevant outcome measures
  • Advocate for patients by providing consistent and timely documentation regarding the patients need for level of care

Must haves, great to haves and bonus qualities

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
  • Completion of a psychiatric residency program from an accredited medical school
  • Board eligible in in appropriate specialty (board certified preferred).
