Job Description:

Cover ACT Services in Boone and Troy for 2 days/week.

Summary:

Services include community- and clinic-based crisis management/emergency psychiatric consultation, evaluations and medication management for ACT services. This position is neither the supervisor of nor medical director of other outpatient physicians or outpatient programs.

Special Attributes:

Strong psychosocial, clinical assessment skills. Minimal supervision regarding use of time, able to prioritize work assignments. Ability to communicate effectively with professions and clients/families. Ability to make sound decisions in emergency situations. Must have the ability to work effectively with administrators that are non-physicians and be able to effectively negotiate the fiscal impact of lower volumes of services without comprising care but enhancing care.

Qualification Requirements:

Education and/or Experience:

Must be a physician licensed to practice psychiatry in the State of North Carolina or appropriate license from other states. Board certified preferred.

Licensed Physician, Board Certified preferred

Pay is $150/hour with Malpractice Covered.
