Locum (SUDT) Psychiatrist needed for New Orleans hospital.
The Substance Use Disorder Treatment (SUDT) psychiatrist provides therapeutic care, treatment, medication management, and rehabilitative services to those suffering from opiate and alcohol addictions in an outpatient and inpatient setting. The SUDT psychiatrist will support an outpatient buprenorphine clinic, refer for in/outpatient detox, and work with the Pain Team consulting patients with chronic pain and opioid dependence issues.
Background: The locum psychiatrist is expected to see up to 15 patients per day providing medication management, assessment, and/or addiction therapy during outpatient visits and inpatient setting.
Preferred experience of at least one (1) year in the past five (5) years in addiction psychiatry/substance use disorder to include detoxification and opioid-dependent populations.
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm
Period of Contract - 2/1/2023-9/30/2026 (1 year minimum, up to 3.5 years)
Pay rate: $230 - $245 / per hour
Any state license accepted.
