About the Role
- Psychiatrist is expected to provide therapeutic care, treatment, medication management, and rehabilitative services to veterans suffering from opiate and alcohol addictions in an outpatient and inpatient setting.
-The SUDT psychiatrist will support an outpatient buprenorphine clinic, refer veterans for in/outpatient detox, and work with the SLVHCS Pain Team consulting patients with chronic pain and opioid dependence issues.
-The locum psychiatrist is expected to see up to 15 patients per day providing medication management, assessment, and/or addiction therapy during outpatient visits and inpatient setting.
-Pay Range $230-$245
Requirements
-Psychiatrists must be board certified or board eligible, by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in General Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry.
-Psychiatrists must have an active and valid U. S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration certificate, a National Provider Identifier (NPI), and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
