An inpatient, 33-bed facility in Georgia is hiring a board-eligible or board-certified psychiatrist on a full-time basis. Shifts will be Monday—Friday from 8 a.m.—5 p.m. (with a one-hour lunch) and the provider will not be required to go on-call. Typical cases include Serious Mental Illnesses (SMIs), including patients with co-occurring conditions. The physician is responsible for 1/3 of the facility and can expect to see 12-15 adult patients per day. Support staff includes a psychologist, therapist, psychiatric nurse practitioner/physician assistant. The facility uses the Avatar electronic medical record (EMR) system. The client is looking for at least a 6-month commitment ideally, but will also consider a 3-month commitment with the option to extend.
