Part-Time Adult Outpatient Locum Tenens Job in the San Francisco Bay Area
Detail/Requirement:
*Adult outpatient coverage for one day/eight hours a week starting ASAP and ongoing
*Onsite candidates only, no remote telepsychiatry
*Work in the field; however, can see some patients in the office. Most patients won’t leave their encampment to come into the office. They serve the homeless population and meet with each patient about once a month or if the patient is decompensating may meet with some patients twice every other week.
*You can go with a nurse for field work. They assess the safety of staff in seeing each patient. You will also administer injections.
*Most patients have co-occurring disorders, substance use and a mental health diagnosis
*Hours: 8:30am-5pm, Monday through Thursday. There is another doctor who sees patients on weekends
*No call
*One hour for initial evaluations and 30 minutes for medication follow ups, but it’s up to your discretion
*Electronic health record, so you need to be computer literate
*Three month minimum assignments, but the longer the assignment the better
*Very collaborative and team oriented approach to patient care
