is looking to add an exceptional Medical Director of Adult Behavioral Health to our growing multidisciplinary team. Psychiatrists interested in leading an Outpatient behavioral health division with a passion for excellence in patient care and dedication for underserved populations should apply. This individual will set standards of psychiatric care and serve as a member of the Senior Leadership of the BH Department and will represent Adult Behavioral Health Division as well as CS-HHC in the community agencies, boards, and other professional activities.

Administrative responsibilities include direct supervision of mid-level providers and other psychiatrists working in the department, attending clinical rounds, and reviewing new admissions and treatment team plans with clinicians. The medical director leads quality assurance of medical records, compliance with State and Federal regulations, and standards of psychiatric care. This position is 40 percent administrative and 60 percent clinical work. No on-call or weekend coverage is required. There are opportunities for teaching: Yale medical students and APRN students with a corresponding clinical faculty appointment.

Summary

The Medical Director of Adult Behavioral Health Services maintains administrative and clinical responsibility for MH and SA services at the assigned locations. This individual will set standards of psychiatric care and serve as a member of the Senior Leadership of the BH Department. Works in collaboration with the Program Directors(s) and Medical Directors of CS-HHC to deliver quality assessment, therapeutic, and medication management services. Direct supervision of mid-level providers and other psychiatrists working in the department as applicable. Leads quality assurance of medical records, compliance with State and Federal regulations and standards of psychiatric care.
