We are currently seeking Psychiatrists to join our outpatient Vertava Health Wellness Centers in the greater Dallas metro area including Arlington, Flower Mound, Southlake, Frisco, McKinney and South Plano.

As a Psychiatrist at Vertava Health, you will oversee compassionate, evidenced-based psychiatric care to adult and child/youth patients with substance abuse and behavioral health disorders. You will contribute to the development of protocols and practices to ensure alignment with current best practices, as well as legal, ethical, and regulatory standards. You should endorse Medication Assisted Treatment as an important treatment option for appropriate candidates.

  • Provide treatment to clients suffering with substance use disorders, anxiety & panic disorders, adjustment disorders, anger management, bipolar disorder, major depressive disorder, psychotic disorders, stress management, family & relationship issues, as well as grief & loss.
  • Provide 1 hour initial psychiatric evaluations and 20 minute follow up visits
  • Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications as appropriate
  • Have experience providing CBT & DBT
  • Have a strong desire to work with substance use disorders
  • Work closely with the regional medical director as well as a multidisciplinary treatment team of therapists, medical providers, nurses, and case managers

Qualifications

  • D. or D.O. from an accredited medical school
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Psychiatry (General, Addiction or Child/Adolescent)
  • Current State Medical License in Texas
  • Current and unencumbered XDEA (or willing to obtain X waiver as needed)
