A regional medical center with a psychiatric unit is seeking a psychiatrist for locum tenens coverage.
The facility is located in the beautiful U.S. Virgin Islands.
The psychiatrist will be rounding on the entire unit. The unit is 6 adult beds and the census is normally around 2 patients. The psychiatrist must perform the histories and physicals for the unit. Once the psychiatrist is finished rounding, they will need to be on call for any possible admissions. They utilize EMR.
This is a full time need, but psychiatrists that are available for weeks at a time will be considered.
