Psychiatrist - (Psych) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: Varied Shift
Our client's mission is to assist the VA with their current backlog of compensation and pension evaluations nationwide. They have partnered with Staff Care to ensure they complete their mission. At this time, American military Veterans may have to wait over a year for their claims to be processed, and even longer to receive their benefits checks. With the help of contractors like our client, the VA is working hard to minimize that time spent waiting. These one-time visit non-adversarial exams do NOT involve treatment. Each evaluation consists of a review of the veteran's subjective complaints (history) followed by the examination itself. This exam is guided with ease by virtual templates (worksheets called Disability Benefits Questionnaire, or DBQ for short) on our secure website. Once the questions are completed and diagnostics are reviewed, the doctor or trusted staff member simply submits the form to us online.
Required Qualifications
Active, unrestricted license in any state
Psychiatrist, Psychologist & PMR Psychiatrist
Strong preference to start provider in their local area or within reasonable driving distance of a target location(s) Block scheduling, consistent, predictable schedules are highly preferred (i.e. Mon-Wed - ongoing).
