Adult Forensic Outpatient Coverage in the Bay Area | Part-Time Remote TelePsychiatry
Details/Requirements:*Need is primarily telehealth during COVID. Will change to office-based work again when the pandemic permits.
*Primarily assessments, diagnostic interviews, medication assessment and prescribing, medication management, and reports.
*Patients are all on parole and referred from the Federal Courts District of Northern California.
*Need starts ASAP and is ongoing
*Adult forensic outpatient coverage for 4-8 hours a MONTH split between court referrals and routine psychiatric assessments.
*Anticipating an average of two patient referrals per month for this need. Some months they may have no patients and other months as much as 4 patient referrals.
*Will do an initial psychiatric evaluation on each patient and a written report based on parameters given by the Fed.
*Some of these patients may be prescribed medications by the locum tenens Psychiatrist but for no more than a 30 day supply of the medication. Must follow up with patients on medications within 30 days of the initial evaluation.
*Candidates with forensic psychiatry experience are preferred, but it's not required.
*There is also a need for patients to be seen for more routine psychiatric assessments, the majority of which have co-occurring disorders. At most another two to four hours a month. However, the primary need is for adult forensic outpatient coverage described above.
*No call.
*Initial evaluations are for one hour, possibly longer based on your descretion; 30 minutes for medication follow ups.
*E.H.R. in place, so you must be computer literate.
*Three month minimum assignments preferred, but the longer the assignment the better.
*Credentialing can be done quickly with California license and DEA.
