**Psychiatry opportunity: Kingwood, WV**
~ Located 20m to Morgantown

**Position Details**

- Helps patients that are experiencing mental illness or psychological distress through psychiatric evaluation and follow up medical management.
- Guides individuals and members of the clinical treatment team on appropriate modalities of treatment as well as being an active member of the treatment team.
- Monitors and evaluates treatment results
- Provides direct client care including psychiatric evaluation and diagnosis
- Participates in treatment planning process from initial treatment plan through discharge for assigned cases.
- Records appropriate data in clinical record, including organizing written reports, narratives and/or dictated material as necessary
- Provides clinical supervision and consultation to non-medical staff.
- Covers for other physicians as needed due to planned or unanticipated needs.
- Participates in medical meetings, etc. and other meetings that relate to patient care and protocols.
- Participates in activities relative to clinical work as appropriate, including routing monitoring and evaluation, focused peer review, policy development, and/or committee membership.
- Review laboratory reports.
- Makes appropriate referrals and coordinates medical services with consulting physician
- Utilizes a range of clinical interventions appropriate to the population while maintaining high levels of client satisfaction

**Minimum Qualifications:**
- M.D or D.O. degree, completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in Psychiatry
- Valid license to practice Psychiatry in the state of West Virginia (or ability to obtain one)
- Two (2) Years of direct patient care in variety of psychiatric settings

EXPERIENCE:
- Previous experience in Community Based Psychiatry
- Experience with variety of ages and diagnoses including substance use
- Experience working in Outpatient Clinics
