Tenet Healthcare, in collaboration with Desert Care Network (3 hospitals) seeks to identify a well-qualified BC/BE Psychiatrist for a unique opportunity which promises to deliver in practice diversity, career growth, and lifestyle. Physician vacancy on account of a retirement, thus position can be available immediately; 2022 Residents are strongly encouraged to inquire for this or additional positions.

Desert Regional Medical Center is a level 2 Trauma Center and GME certified teaching hospital offering three accredited residency programs including EM, FM, and Neurosurgery. Teaching aspect involves rotations of Family Medicine residents to out-patient behavioral health clinic and monthly lectures to residents. In-patient services consist of consults upon request; outpatient is standard patient visits. ER call duties are not required, but may be requested on occasion. The hospital employs a full-time MSW, a licensed Psy-clinical social worker for support, and several RN case managers. The out-patient clinic is located within the hospital campus. Hospital is not licensed for inpatient Psychiatric beds; however, a new 80-bed inpatient psych hospital (Acadia Health) will be opening in the area in summer 2022 and is located about 25 miles from Desert Regional.
