PSYCHIATRY | GREAT QUALITY OF LIFE | AFFILIATED WITH A TOP SEC SCHOOL
Practice:
• 50/50 inpatient and outpatient practice that is affiliated with SEC school
• Schedule: 4.5-day work week, 8:00a to 5:00p
• Split week: clinic, hospital consults, and unit
• Clinic: average 12 to 18 patients a day
• Hospital consults: average 2 to 3 patients
• Unit: average 23 patients
• Inpatient: morning starts at the hospital inpatient unit then afternoons at the office
• Adult admission: 50% SMI/CMI - short-term and crisis stabilization- 50% crisis depression, anxiety, and suicidal
• Also includes daily consults for the med/surg floor and ICUs
• Call: 1:5 -1 night a week and every 6th weekend
• Generally phone consultative call—rarely do you come in
• Weekend: see all inpatients and crisis calls from the office answering service
• Once you’re done rounding you then manage everything over the phone
• Support staff: great support staff for both the inpatient and outpatient clinic
• Outpatient office: 1 hour for evaluations -20 minutes for med management
• We are currently booked out in the clinic 3 to 4 months in advance
• EMR: Cerner used at Hospital—Greenway used in the clinic
Financials:
• Base salary + wRVU: potential of $300,000+
• Production: wRVU
• Sign-on/retention bonus: $20,000+
• Vacation: 25 days PTO—total of 5 weeks
• CME: $4,000 plus health system pays for all licenser and certification
• Relocation: up to $10,000
• Full benefits package: life, health, dental, vison, and more
• Student loans: depends on how much you owe
• Malpractice: covered
