Job Description

Psychiatrist needed in Richmond, Virginia. The primary focus of the Psychiatrist is to provide mental health services in outpatient and corrections facilities.

Richmond is the only region in America with whitewater rapids running through its downtown district. A popular city full of young professionals, families, and longtime locals - each neighborhood exudes a unique personality. You can satisfy your interests with world-class museums, a vibrant food scene, and plenty of entertainment options from concerts and theater performances to family friendly festivals.

Details:

  • Permanent, full-time position
  • Monday through Friday
  • Three days on-site outpatient, two days telepsych
  • Outpatient and corrections facility setting
  • Inmate population
  • Average 15 to 18 patients per day
  • Supervise and mentor Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners
  • Multi-disciplinary team including Psychologists, Social Workers, and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners
  • No travel required

Qualifications

  • MD or DO required
  • Valid Virginia medical license
  • Board Certified in Psychiatry
  • Active DEA
