Medstaff National Medical Staffing is searching for Locum Tenens physicians for Psychiatric coverage within the Emergency Department at a Hospital in South Carolina. - Opening: Psychiatry, Inpatient
- Start Date: January 2020
- Location: South Carolina
- Facility: Hospital, Inpatient Emergency Room
- Shifts: 13 shifts per month, 10-hour shifts, 6am - 4pm or 3pm - 1am (late shift could be 4pm - 2am), 7-days per week
- Details:
- Working in the ED at the main Hospital - Trauma Level 1.
- Handling ED Consults for patients needing psychiatric review or care. The ED does hold between 15 - 30 patients a day in the ED. Some rounding on overnight holdover patients in the ED.
- Daily Discharges with the APP assistance. Transfer patient to other facilities, largely coordinated by the LSW.
- There is also a new telepsychiatry component to the shift duties from 10am - 10pm daily. This would cover satellite hospital locations within the health system. Average of 1-2 telepsychiatry patients per day.
- Credentials: Active South Carolina Medical license, DEA certificate, Board Certified
