A hospital based in Ohio is in need of a psychiatrist who can provide locum tenens coverage for approximately six months beginning in early July with a high chance of extension through June 2020. On a typical day, the locum tenens physician can expect to see between twelve and eighteen patients, adolescent and adult patients for a variety of general psychiatry cases: Depression, anxiety, eating disorders, suicide watch, etc. Most patients are over the age of 15 years old. The provider will work eight hour shifts starting at 7 a.m. plus night phone call but locum rarely needs to go into the hospital. This facility uses Epic EMR and will provide paid training.
