- Start date: ASAP
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00AM – 5:00PM
- No call, no nights, no weekends
- Average patient census: 10-20/day
- Average patient age range: 30-60
- Support staff: Techs, RNs, LPNs, Team Leaders, Supervisors, Social Workers

Your Daily Responsibilities:
- Mainly dealing with involuntarily committed Mental Health Board and forensic/court patients. Both male and female who suffer from an Severe and Persistent Mental Illness with diagnoses along the schizophrenia and bipolar spectrum.
- Coordinates and supervises activities and personnel in an assigned segment of a psychiatric program.
- Makes ward rounds and periodic inspections to evaluate the care and treatment of patients and to discuss, observe and advise on the treatment of unusual or difficult cases.
- Responsible for diagnosis of illness and the determination and administration of treatment to be used on patients.
- Confers with, advises and instructs members of the medical and support staff on the care, treatment and prognosis of patients.
- Administers or directs the administration of treatments and advanced techniques.
- Conducts psychotherapeutic interviews and individual and group therapy and evaluates the progress of treatment.
- Conducts and/or participates in staff conferences for the discussion of the diagnosis, treatment, parole and discharge of patients
What You’ll Need to Qualify for this Role:
- Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible
- M.D. degree, completion of one year internship in an approved hospital; and active, unrestricted license to practice medicine in NE.
- Three years’ experience as a psychiatric resident in a psychiatric institution or clinic approved for three years’ residency training in psychiatry by the Council on Medical Education and Hospitals of the American Medical Association
- Accepted application for certification and successful completion of part one of the certification exam.
