Adolescent and Adult Psychiatry Residential Treatment Locums Position in the Greater Los Angeles Area

Details/Requirements:
*Need is for residential treatment coverage seeing mostly adolescents and some 18 year olds, patients ages range from 13-18.
*Need is for two to three hours twice a month at each of two locations in San Bernardino County. The two sites are about six miles from each other.
*Both short term residential treatment facilities have six beds.
*The census stays full.
*There are two to three patients on medication at each location currently.
*The Client will schedule new patient evaluations for one of the these two days per month. A new patient must be seen for an initial evaluation within ten days of the patient presenting to the facility.
*Must be child trained Psychiatrists.
*For the few patients they have who are 18 years old, initial evaluations are for one hour including chart time, additional time if necessary depending on the patient. Twenty to thirty minutes for medication follow ups, including charting time, more if necessary for some patients.
*For children and adolescents, 1 to 1.5 hours for initial evaluations and 30 minutes for medication follow ups.
*Client is flexible regarding days/hours worked between 9am-4pm, Monday through Thursday.
*No call.
*Client has an electronic medical record system. They use a template in which they type in chart notes for now; they’ll begin implementing an electronic medical record system within the next six months.
*Credentialing takes up to two weeks, including a live scan criminal background check.
*Client prefers three to six month minimum assignments.
