Locums Psychiatrist Need in Minnesota

  • Mon-Fri; 8-5
  • Some weekend call (TBD) 1:6 not 100% required
• Qualifications:
  • Board Certified is required
  • 2 years' experience required
• Clinical Details:
  • • 8-10 patients per day.
    • Provider could do mix of inpatient and outpatient, hwoever inpatient only is preferred.
    • NPs typically take between 2-4 patients. In the outpatient clinic it is standard for providers to see between 8-10 patients daily if working full time in the clinic.
    • Inpatient 14 bed unit that sees adult mental health inpatients. Mid- acuity level.
    • There is an outpatient psychiatric clinic next to the unit, along with a partial hospitalization and day treatment facility.
    • Provider will supervise the NP on the inpatient unit an cosign notes for another NP working in PHP.
    • Providers are expected to handle any consults, admits or discharges that come up during a shift.
    • NPs in the outpatient clinic operate independently and do not require supervision.
  • Clinical Details:
    • Admitting, discharging, and providing patient care for acutely mentally ill inpatient population.
