**Psychiatry Residency Program Director opening in Kentucky**

The medical center, in partnership with the University of Kentucky College of Medicine seeks a ***Psychiatry Residency Program Director*** for an exciting opportunity to lead a recently developed psychiatry residency training program that has attained ACGME Initial Accreditation for Psychiatry Residency in the past few months. This is a dynamic time of growth, which that makes it a great time to get involved. The medical center, in partnership with the University of Kentucky College of Medicine and Western Kentucky University, is establishing a four-year regional medical school campus starting in August 2018! University of Kentucky is the ACGME Sponsoring Institution for the medical center's Graduate Medical Education programs. The Graduate Medical Education Programs are rapidly growing with an ACGME accredited Internal Medicine program, Cardiology fellowship and Transitional year in addition to the Psychiatry Residency program.

The successful candidate will have 50% clinical responsibilities and 50% time for administration of the program, curriculum development and mentoring of the residents, currently comprised of five first and second year residents and approved for 3 residents per year.

This is a vibrant growing psychiatric practice in a progressive hospital system in beautiful south central Kentucky. There is excellent clinical support staff and support staff for the residency program in place.

**Qualifications:**

* Must hold current Board certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
* Have or must be able to obtain an active Kentucky Medical License to practice medicine.
* Educational and administrative experience as a faculty member in the field of psychiatry sufficient to meet ACGME program director qualifications
