Position description
The Department of Behavioral Health in La Crosse is redesigning its services with a focus on strong team work, evidence based care and planned progression to an IBH model. To complete this comprehensive and otherwise fully staffed program, we are seeking outpatient adult Psychiatrists. Our experienced team has a goal of becoming the Mayo Clinic flagship for community based behavioral health care. The position offers the unique option of a joint appointment with the Mayo Clinic Department of Psychiatry and Psychology in Rochester, MN for patient care, research or education. La Crosse is located 75 miles from Rochester. This position is responsible for providing a comprehensive array of treatment options to our patient population in collaboration with other physicians and staff.
Mayo Clinic Health System – Franciscan Healthcare Behavioral Health Services is a growing and robust interdisciplinary team of Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Neuropsychologists, Nurses, and Therapists. This group provides evidence-based diagnostic and treatment interventions to children, adolescents, adults, and families struggling with mental health and/or substance use disorders. Care is provided in primary care clinics, an outpatient behavioral health center, hospital for consultations, and four residential programs.
A generous compensation package is offered, including a salary guarantee. Other benefits include: No night or weekend call, minimum of four weeks of vacation (based on previous experience), a generous annual CME fund, Mayo Clinic pension and 403b, health, dental, disability, term life, and accidental death/dismemberment insurance, malpractice insurance and full relocation expenses.

License or certification
Candidates must be eligible for licensure in the state of Wisconsin and be board certified/board eligible in general Psychiatry through the American Board of Psychiatry.
