SERV Behavioral Health System, Inc. is a private statewide, not-for-profit behavioral healthcare organization serving adults and children for over 45 years. We are dedicated to making superior mental healthcare available to everyone in the community.

SERV Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCHBC) is a recently awarded grant to provides a comprehensive collection of services needed to create access, stabilize people in crisis and provide the necessary treatment for those with the most serious, complex mental illnesses and substance use disorders. CCBHCs integrate additional services to ensure an approach to health care that emphasizes recovery, wellness, trauma informed care and physical-behavioral health integration.

Position Requirements:

Reporting to the CEO and serving as an integral member of the senior leadership team, the Chief Medical Officer is responsible for the quality of clinical practice. The CMO provides leadership to the Medical Staff and Nursing Staff and acts as the primary liaison between the Medical, the administration and the Board of Directors.

Education: M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school. Completion of a residency program approved by the American Board of Psychiatry. Neurology and Board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

Licensure: Current, valid and unrestricted license in New Jersey. CDS and DEA licenses

Work Experience: Minimum five to eight years of clinical practice. Physician leadership with experience at a community mental health program in an outpatient care or a medical group home setting is strongly preferred.
