STG International is seeking qualified candidates for Psychiartist to work FT supporting the Mental Health Department at Naval Hospital Jacksonville, FL.

Responsibilities:

Shall provide services in the Mental Health Department at Naval Hospital Jacksonville, FL. This task order is a Psychological Health initiative under the Psychological Health and Traumatic Brain Injury (PH/TBI) program. The program seeks to address gaps in the care available for the prevalent injuries among combatants from the global war on terrorism. Through adoption of risk-based staffing models and a uniform, best practice standard of care across the DoD Military Health System, the program seeks to ensure easy, rapid access to PH and TBI care for all beneficiaries and to ensure that the transition across networks of care recognizes the unique care coordination and case management requirements for PH and TBI patients.

The healthcare worker (HCW) shall possess and maintain the minimum Physician qualification requirements. In addition, the HCW shall:

Possess board certification in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or the American Osteopathic Association,

-OR-

Possess residency training and not less than 3 years of experience within the last 5 years as a full-time psychiatrist OR, have graduated from a psychiatry residency program within the preceding 12 months.

Hours of operation. The Mental Health Department has the normal operating hours of Monday through Sunday between the hours of 0730 and 1630.

Services shall normally be provided Monday through Friday between the hours of 0730 and 1630 for an 8.5 or 9-hour period, including an uncompensated .5 or 1-hour meal break, respectively. Services will normally not be required on the day of observance of Federal holidays. The HCW shall generally be on duty for 40 hours each week, except during periods of approved leave and holidays. In no instance will the HCW be required to provide services (on-site services plus approved leave and holidays) in excess of 80 hours in a two-week period.

Specific shift hours for each two-week period shall be scheduled by the Department Head or government representative one-month in advance. Any changes in the schedule shall be coordinated between the HCW and the Government.

On-Call Services. The HCW will be required to provide on-call services for inpatient consultation after hours once every four weeks, for a period of 7 consecutive days. This will require covering the inpatient ward and conducting rounds on patients over the weekend. Schedules will be adjusted when on call to accommodate no more than 128 hours of work during the two-week period. The on-call duty is rotated with other Psychiatrists in the Mental Health Department.

For the provision of on-call services, the psychiatrist will be assigned a phone furnished by the Government. Replacement costs, if these are lost or stolen, shall be borne by the contractor. The HCW shall arrive at the hospital within 30 minutes of receiving a call back request.

Call-Back Services. The HCW shall arrive at the hospital within 30 minutes of receiving a call back request. Billable Call-back hours commence upon arrival and preparation of the HCW within Naval Hospital Jacksonville’s inpatient wards. The HCW shall be compensated for the actual time services are provided. Call-Back Hours will exceed no more than 20 hours during the week period.

Unless providing on call services, the HCW will be credited for 8 hours worked for each holiday (if the HCW is required to provide services on the day of observance of a federally observed holiday the HCW will have a paid compensatory day off).

The HCW will accrue 8 hours of personal leave (annual plus sick) for each two-week/80 hour period of services provided (on-site services plus approved leave and holidays) and shall be subject to leave approval in accordance with Section C of the basic contract.

Customer Service Accountability – Contract employees providing services at NH Jacksonville and supporting facilities shall adhere to the Customer Service standards specified in NAVHOSPJAXINST 6320.7F or updated versions. A copy of the instruction will be made available upon request or at the time of commencement of services.
