Part-Time Adult Psychiatrist Outpatient Locum Tenens Job in the Greater Los Angeles, California Area
Details/Requirements:
*Adult outpatient coverage starting ASAP and ongoing for 16-20 hours a week.
*Client requires all in-person/onsite services, no remote tele psychiatry.
*Most patients have psychotic disorders, mood disorders, anxiety, and most have trauma histories.
*40-50% or more have co-occurring disorders, substance use and mental health diagnoses. Many patients have been clean and sober for many years.
*Flexible 8:30am to 5pm Monday through Friday.
*No formal call. On very rare occasion, the program director may text the locum tenens doctor after hours regarding a prescription that didn’t go through properly or if a patient is experiencing side effects from a medication.
*Client allows one hour for initial evaluations and 30 minutes for medication follow ups.
*Client has an electronic medical record system, EXYM, so candidates must be computer literate. They use RXNT for prescriptions.
*Takes approximately two weeks for credentialing, including a live scan.
*Client prefers 3-month minimum assignments or longer.
