Atlantic Health System is Seeking an Inpatient Psychiatrist for a Great Opportunity in Northern New Jersey
Atlantic Health System, one of the largest non-profit healthcare networks in New Jersey, is seeking a full-time Inpatient Psychiatrist to join our team at Atlantic Behavioral Health at Overlook Medical Center. This is a full-time inpatient psychiatry position on our wonderful 24-bed voluntary adult unit treating predominantly individuals with mood and anxiety disorders who return to care in our community. Our highly-collaborative treatment team values working together across—and appreciating all—disciplines, with value placed on communicating and learning together and engaging the patient and their family in a customized treatment plan. Two additional full-time psychiatrists will welcome and help mentor the applicant.

Responsibilities

As an Inpatient Psychiatrist, you will provide psychiatric care for patients admitted to the hospital for mental health reasons. The ideal candidate should be collaborative and well-versed in all aspects of psychiatry and related services. Experience in inpatient psychiatric care is preferred, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will work closely with other mental health professionals, including nurses, social workers, and therapists, to provide comprehensive care to our patients.

Qualifications

  • Board-eligible or board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry
  • Open to both new graduates and experienced psychiatrists
  • Training in geriatric or addiction psychiatry is a plus
  • Demonstrated success working individually and as part of a team
