Medical Director Outpatient Psychiatry: established 3 physician, 6 nurse practitioner psychiatric group seeking a Medical Director to join their clinical team. This position includes an outpatient office setting, Monday – Friday, 80% clinical practice / 20% administration.
The Medical Director has direct responsibility for the quality of psychiatric care provided and medical staff relationships. The incumbent provides psychiatric behavioral health leadership for clinical and business planning, clinical performance, Medical Quality Assessment/Assurance, Risk Management, Continuing Medical Education, Graduate Medical Education (GME) and Medical Staff Credentialing activities at MHS. The Medical Director-Level 1 works in partnership with operational leadership and provides leadership to achieve Behavioral Health strategic objectives. The incumbent works collaboratively with leadership teams, and frontline psychiatric leadership in a team-oriented approach to planning and operations, and serves as a key link between, Behavioral Health, the provider community, and the public at large.
This position requires the development of critical relationships through broad ranging internal and external contacts to support Behavioral Health as a regional center for excellence in psychiatric patient care. External contacts include, among others, private physician/provider groups, other regional health care systems, University of Washington Medical School, regional and national organizations involved in the care of children, County RSN, national, state, and local regulatory agencies, and competing organizations. Internal contacts include all levels of staff and management across the organization.
