Podiatric opening for physicians that do not mind traveling to cover nursing homes in Illinois.
We have openings for Full time
They are a Podiatry Group which consists of independent contractor podiatrists who are assigned lists of patients to see in nursing homes. Their doctors are paid a per diem rate of pay per nursing home session per day. Each session is paid $300.00 so if you did two sessions in one day your pay would be $600.00. Each session consists typically of 23-25 patients for a 3 hour session. Their office would provide a list of patients to you prior to that day's visit so you know exactly who you will be seeing before you enter the facility. Most of their sessions consist of routine podiatric care they do treat issues such as ingrowns, corns and calluses and diabetic ulcers.
The doctors submit their availability prior to the start of the month and they will then create the monthly schedule accordingly. If you wanted to work Monday, Wednesday, Friday they would create your individual schedule. They require at least 3 days a week.
Since the doctors are independent contractors they do not pay for malpractice insurance. The doctors also pay for their own tools. They provide supplies such as gloves, antiseptic solution, lidocaine, etc. Your monthly check will be deposited by the first of each month directly into your account for all sessions completed for that month. They do provide a laptop so you can log into their EMR system (SAMMY) to complete your patient notes. Traveling expenses such as gas allowance and hotel costs may be reimbursed depending your schedule.
