We have an exceptional opportunity for a Podiatrist (Fee Basis) to join Veteran Health Indiana at the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center located in Indianapolis, IN.

This would be a PRN (as needed) position. $70 Per clinic encounter. Applicant would cover for other Podiatrists that are on PTO or Sick Leave. This position can also cover Saturday clinics.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Board eligible or board certified podiatrist with experience in outpatient podiatry, prevention and treatment of diabetic foot wounds, and experience with ambulatory surgery.

Diagnose and treat disorders, diseases, and injuries of the foot and lower leg.

Capable of dealing with comprehensive foot and ankle care including treating corns, calluses, ingrown toenails, bunions, heel spurs, and arch problems; ankle and foot injuries, deformities, and infections; and foot complaints associated with diabetes and other diseases.

Skilled in wound care and general diabetic foot care. Biomechanical excellence a plus.

Surgical skills a plus.

Meets the needs of customers while supporting VA missions. Communicates and treats customers in a courteous, tactful and respectful manner. Provides the customer with consistent information according to established policies and procedures. Handles conflict and problems in dealing with the customer constructively and appropriately.

Must be a graduate of one of the colleges of podiatric medicine in the USA.

Must have a current unrestricted license to practice Podiatry in the USA.

Must be a U.S. citizen.
