Job Description

Last Update: 6/10/22

We are looking for an Associate Director who is passionate about patient care for our 25+ bed unit located inside a regional Medical Center that serves as the rehab hub for a multi-hospital health system. The Acute Rehab Unit has one physiatrist now who carries a small IP load (covers OP), and a nurse practitioner assigned to the unit. This is an active program, yet has even more room to grow on the IP side as well as developing OP clinics. The hospital is working towards becoming a level to Trauma Center, as they have 2 neurosurgeons, multiple neurologists, and have their application in to Joint Commission to achieve the Primary Stroke Center status. Our patient population is one that you’d find in most general IP rehab units, with stroke leading the way, some brain injury, trauma and debility, etc.

The city is a diverse and friendly community with multiple top rankings in national lists such as “best city/place to live” and “fastest growing small city”, as well as a recent 18th place finish in a list of most diverse cities with fewer than 100,000 residents. The population gives you a small town feel, but you’ll still have all the amenities of an “All-America City”, such as an airport with direct flights to most major cities such as San Francisco and New York. This is one of the fastest growing areas in the United States, and the recent growth is fueling a surge in schools, museums, and a diversification in industry. The business climate is excellent and there is high employment for professionals and tradesmen, so you’ll find all the large city amenities, high-end products available here. This is an interesting opportunity to get established in a community with a lot of potential!
