Job Description

Last Update: 9/27/22

A PM&R group that I’ve had the pleasure of working with before has a need for an additional physiatrist to join 2 physicians in a busy practice. The work is primarily OP, EMG and neuro rehab, and some Gen IP, including a strong hospital consult service is waiting (it’s a Level II trauma center, which would need neuro follow up, and EMG’s). There is a huge patient need for peripheral neuropathy is here or feel free to build in another direction that suits your interest. The IP Unit has a full time director, but all physiatrists take turns covering the unit during the vacation of the Director/Partner. If your interest is musculoskeletal and procedural, that’s available as well with a friendly Ortho group next door. This is a state of the art medical center with tremendous community support, and you’ll have opportunity to establish your desired practice type – with partnership possibility in the future.

There is definitely room to grow and create new programs, so we’re looking for a PM&R doc (must be BC/BE) with an entrepreneurial spirit. Call coverage is fairly minimal. Salary plus benefits including: moving expenses, 401K after one year, 3-weeks vacation/1 week CME per year / 1 week sick leave, medical, dental, vision – and a bonus system based on production.

This is one of those communities that gives the Pacific Northwest the reputation. Excellent weather, a lovely community, wonderful schools, and great outdoor recreational opportunities combine to create an unparalleled opportunity to enjoy a balance of work and personal life. The area is known for whitewater rafting, riverboating, hiking, running, skiing, biking, and more! Southern Oregon offers a temperate four-season climate, and is a mecca for those that appreciate the outdoors. The area, in addition to being right next to a wonderful college town, is host to a world class Shakespeare Festival. This truly is a dream locale for those that enjoy culture and the outdoors. Drive to the spectacular Oregon coast within hours or fly to SF or Portland in 55 minutes.
