Job Description

Last Update: 1/19/21

There is a new paradigm in rehabilitation. It is being put in place by Medicare and those that capitalize on it now will have the easiest transition in the future. Post-acute rehabilitation in many situations is shifting to skilled nursing facilities and these SNF’s are responding by upping their game: single rooms, flat panel TV’s, WiFi, rapid recovery units, and up to 2.5 hours of therapy per day to court excellent rehab patients – but what they do not have are physiatrists to staff them. We contract with large nationally based skilled nursing facilities to bring them physical medicine trained physicians to provide oversight to their therapy programs. Rehab doctors in SNFs have long faced questions and confusion. Can rehab doctors bill in a SNF? Can they bill more than once a month? Can they use a nurse practitioner or a physician’s assistant? What billing codes are used in a SNF? We not only offer physiatrists clear answers to these questions, but more importantly provide you with a previously underutilized business model that will simplify your startup.

This specific position is a full commitment (with no call, no evenings, and no weekends!). The competitive salary is augmented with a benefits package that includes family health insurance, liability insurance, 401K, paid vacation, relocation reimbursement, and an individualized practice management program. We offer the ability to practice physical medicine in an environment that encourages active collaboration and offers opportunities to make a difference in patients’ lives. Sounds like something you’d be interested in? We need candidates with excellent team building skills, strong public speaking ability, and genuine confidence in your physiatry skills.

We have a couple of opportunities in fantastic cities in the south of Florida. Either way, you’ll get to enjoy beautiful beaches, luxury amenities, and an easygoing lifestyle. There’s ample specialty shops, sidewalk dining, and events every single day. This region is one of the world’s most popular vacation spots, and there’s truly something for everyone – nightlife, nature, professional and minor league sports, athletic pursuits such as golf and fishing, art festivals, cruises, and easy access to an international airport. You won’t be wanting for opportunities.
