COMPANY PROFILE:
This organization is a platform of board-certified physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other clinicians who specialize in PM&R across the full spectrum of post-acute care. For the past 23 years, they have deployed care teams to facilities to improve outcomes while reducing the use of unnecessary resources. Their PM&R providers diagnose, design treatment plans, and manage patients’ rehab to maximize functional performance and independence, prevent injuries and illnesses, and improve patients’ quality of life. They are an independent physiatry group, with a long and successful track record of leadership and collaboration across the PAC continuum. They are a “provider first” organization, seeking to provide their clinicians with tools, innovations, and resources to deliver exceptional care while promoting teamwork, personal growth, and integrity. They operate in a variety of settings, including, but not limited to, hospitals, outpatient rehabilitation centers, skilled nursing facilities, and LTACs. They employ a large staff of physicians and advanced practitioners, who are supported by dedicated clinical and administrative team members. They are currently hiring due to growth.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Clinical Physician / Medical Director will provide direct patient care, as well as hold a small leadership role within the organization, largely specific to the assigned work site(s).

As a physiatrist, the new provider will:

- provide inpatient rehab care

- see 17 to 24 patients per day

- see new patients, consults, and follow-up visits

- maximize recovery and stability of patients

- consult and collaborate with other medical providers

Please note that patients are of lower-than-average acuity and the physiatrist will be supported by the hospital’s clinical support team.

As a Medical Director, the new provider will:

- oversee mid-level providers

- participate in the development of new clinical centers, service lines, etc.

- serve as a leader for the local practice operation on the “ground floor”

Please note that the Medical Director portion of the opportunity is a small percentage of working hours. While the Medical Director position is critical to operations, the majority of the new physician’s time will be spent practicing as a physiatrist.

The practice will fully train the new physician in how to effectively run a rehab program, including rules and regulations and how to be an ambassador of rehab care.

The organization uses the Epic EHR in the hospital setting, Drs EHR in the PAC setting, and a proprietary EHR in the SNF setting.

On-call duties consist of occasional phone calls and weekend hospital rounds every 4 weeks.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Ohio medical license

- DEA
