About the Role:

The Department of Interventional Pain and Spine at New York Health is looking for BC/BE, fellowship-trained Physiatrists to join our outpatient practices in Suffolk County, NY. In this key role, you will play a crucial part in expanding our interventional physical medicine and rehabilitation services, ensuring high-quality patient care, excellent outcomes, and high patient satisfaction. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop comprehensive treatment plans that may include physical therapy, medication management, and other interventions aimed at enhancing patient outcomes. Responsibilities include conducting thorough patient assessments, using advanced diagnostic tools, and staying updated on the latest advancements in rehabilitation medicine. You will also educate patients and their families about their conditions and effective management strategies. Strong communication skills, empathy, and a commitment to patient-centered care are essential for success in this role. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct physical exams and develop treatment plans
  • Perform trigger point and joint injections
  • Conduct EMG and nerve conduction studies
  • Write narrative reports
  • Manage acute and chronic pain medications
  • Review MRI and X-ray reports with patients
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to diagnose physical disabilities and conditions
  • Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
  • Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and techniques
  • Coordinate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Educate patients and their families about their conditions and treatment options
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current in rehabilitation medicine

Requirements:

  • Medical degree from an accredited institution
  • Board certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
  • Valid medical license to practice in the state
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience
  • Strong knowledge of musculoskeletal and neurological conditions
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools and medical software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities

Base Salary Range: between $270,000 - $320,000 annually
