Seeking a full-time Pediatrician for an established and growing private pediatrics group in Fort Payne, Alabama. Replace a retiring provider and join 3 Pediatricians and 6 Nurse Practitioners. The position is mostly outpatient with light hospital call.
Schedule options include:
Mon - Fri 10a-7p with rotating Saturdays 1/7
Three 12s per week - consecutive days 8a-8p
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct urgent and primary patient care to patients with ages ranging from birth to adolescence.
Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury
Provide oversight of delivery of medical care at the assigned clinic with the support of Advanced Practice Nursing staff
Serve as a mentor and manage the resolution of practice related problems at assigned pediatric clinic
Provides professional oversight and collaboration for any Advanced Practice Nurses employed at clinical location of practice
Serve in rotation for hospital call.
Other Duties Include:
Present for emergency C-Sections if requested by OB
Newborn and Pediatrics inpatient rounding
Admissions of patients requiring hospitalization
Shared call schedule 1:4 via phone
Daily patient volume of 20 - up to 25
Practice averages 15 pediatric admissions per month and 55 newborn delivery per month.
Compensation:
Salary $200,000 - $220,000
