Description
Pinnacle Health Medical Services seeks a Physician, Outpatient Pediatrics to Provide primary medical care to infants and children age 0-18 in outpatient setting; provide consultation and teaching to mid-level providers, residents and students. Work location: Pinnacle Health Children and Teen Center, Harrisburg, PA
Job Responsibilities:
Pinnacle Health Medical Services seeks a Physician, Outpatient Pediatrics to Provide primary medical care to infants and children age 0-18 in outpatient setting; provide consultation and teaching to mid-level providers, residents and students. Work location: Pinnacle Health Children and Teen Center, Harrisburg, PA
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for medical management of pediatric and adolescent patients in outpatient setting.
- Participate in precepting, teaching and performance evaluation of students, residents and mid-level providers.
- Attend Grand Rounds.
- Participate in day-to-day activities of the practice, including completion of medical records, quality initiatives, and audits.
- Contribute to the advancement of clinical care to the target population and the practice through collaboration with medical director, department leadership, and staff.
- Attend UPMC Pinnacle administrative and clinical committee meetings, as assigned.
- Assist in all aspects of Pinnacle Health Medical Services’, Pinnacle Health Hospitals’, and UPMC Pinnacle’s quality assurance and process improvements projects.
- Work with the Division, Pinnacle Health Hospitals and with Management to optimize resource utilization in the inpatient and outpatient setting.
- Use and advocate for the use of evidence-based medical practices and care protocols.
- M.D. (or advanced degree equivalent);
- Completion of Pediatric Medicine Residency Program
