Education and/or experience
Current license as a pediatrician in state of New Jersey. Board certified.
Meets all of the requirements for appointment/reappointment as a member of the medical staff.
Certificates, licenses, registrations
A current license issued by the state of New Jersey, current malpractice insurance, DEA and CDS licenses.
Essential duties and responsibilities
Elicits and records information about patient's medical history.

Examines patient to determine general physical condition.

Orders or executes various tests, analyses, and diagnostic images to provide information on patient's condition.

Analyzes reports and findings of tests and of examination, and diagnoses condition.

Determines a plan of care for each patient. When appropriate, orders services specifying reason for referral, including diagnosis and treatment. Conducts periodic re-evaluation of care plan; writes changes of order as needed and renews orders as appropriate.

For rehabilitation therapies, reviews written plan of care and results of treatment at least every 30 days except when an order specifies treatment of a longer duration, in which case the plan of care will be reviewed every 90 days.

Administers or prescribes treatments and drugs.

Inoculates and vaccinates patients to immunize patients from communicable diseases.

Advises patients concerning diet, hygiene, and methods for prevention of disease.

Adheres to the medical staff by-laws

Participates as a member of assigned committees as requested by the medical director

Participates in the on-call and emergency coverage schedule as directed by the medical director.

Refers patients to medical specialist or other practitioner for specialized treatment.

Performs history and physical assessments as indicated

Provides services in accordance with generally acceptable standards of pediatrics medicine.

Develops a plan of treatment/care of the patient that also includes education and follow-up visits.

Makes referrals, as indicated by the needs of the patient

Maintains current and complete documentation in the medical record that reflects the care and services provided to the patient

Communicates with other health care providers related to diagnosis, treat and plan for the patient either verbally and/or through documentation in the medical record...

Adheres to the center’s established policies and procedures

Participates as a member of the medical staff and adheres to the medical staff bylaws

Participates in the on-call and emergency coverage schedule, as directed by the medical director.
