**Pediatric Hematology Oncology Opportunity in Charlotte NC**
Full-time, permanent placement
Looking for a compassionate, caring pediatrician to join our rapidly growing pediatric hematology/oncology team. Our clinic physicians are board certified in pediatrics and pediatric hematology/oncology, and collaborate with the clinical teams at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis to develop treatment plans. In addition to being an affiliate site, we are also an enrolling site for three St. Jude studies.
We take a team approach to treatment - our clinic has specially trained pediatric nurse practitioners, certified pediatric oncology nurses, a medical social worker, an art therapist, certified child life specialists, a pharmacist, and several research associates. Through our affiliation with St. Jude and our membership in the national Children's Oncology Group, our clinic offers the most clinical trials available. We have an extensive Sickle cell program and were the first Pediatric Hemophilia Treatment Center in Charlotte.
Call Expectations:
10 weekends per year, 4 weekdays per month
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited school of medicine required
Hematology Oncology experience required
Must be able to take general Hematology Oncology call and be on inpatient service
Must be willing to see general non-malignant Hematology as well as Oncology
Bilingual a plus
