There is an excellent opportunity to join an established and well-respected rural pediatric practice with two existing Pediatricians in Southwest Virginia.
This is an opportunity to build your own patient base and provide continuity of care from birth to adolescence while surrounded in a relaxed environment. The two Pediatricians in the practice have backgrounds in child psychology as well as many other pediatric interests including breastfeeding, sports medicine, and developmental pediatrics. The independent practice is located on hospital grounds, so it is very convenient when needed to go to hospital to see patients. There are light hospital call duties, but no practice call and the hospital operates a Level 1 nursery. It is preferred if candidate has experience performing circumcisions and minor surgeries in the clinic. The position has a competitive compensation package that includes a sign-on bonus and full benefits package.
The practice is located in the historical town of Wytheville, which is situated near lakes, rivers, and mountains, which provide year-round recreational opportunities. This safe, friendly community is a great place to raise a family, yet close enough to larger cities for sporting events, the arts, and fine dining. Small town charm is easy to find in Wytheville where history and modernity coexist. Wytheville is located only one hour and fifteen minutes from Roanoke, VA, Winston-Salem, NC, and Bristol, TN with great access to Interstates 77 and 81.
