Hospital for Special Care (HSC) is the nation’s only specialty hospital serving adults and children across the spectrum of complex care and rehabilitation. We are the 4th largest specialty hospital in the country.

We seek a Chief of Pediatrics due to pending retirement. The Chief of Pediatrics will:
  • Provide leadership and medical expertise for our pediatric programs and services including our 30-bed inpatient unit serving patients from birth to 18 years in need of rehabilitation and/or complex care, our 10-bed inpatient autism unit, and our outpatient autism clinic.
  • 75-80% direct patient care / 20-25% administrative
  • Call of 1:4 taken from home is relatively light and rarely requires returning to the hospital.
  • Enjoy support and opportunity for research and apply for clinical academic appointments at nationally recognized medical schools, if desired.
  • Candidates with training or expertise in the areas of Developmental-Behavioral, Neurodevelopmental Disabilities, or Complex Care are encouraged to apply.
