Brand New Locums Pediatric Hospitalist Opportunity in Michigan (Near Bay City)

• B/C pediatrics required

  • Will not accept B/E

• Coverage Dates: August 9 @ 9a - September 2 @ 8a

  • Shift schedule: First Shift plus Call (Hospital 8a-11a & Clinic 11am – 5pm)

  • Night Call 5p-8a & Weekend Call

  • Saturday 8am – Monday 8am with 4 hours of rounds if needed on SA and SUN

  • Every week night and every weekend day with 4 hours of rounds on each weekend day

• Job Duties:

  • Inpatient and Outpatient experience - Required

  • Routine hospital rounds on newborns. Only attend high risk deliveries as requested. Not required at C Sections. C Section rate is 30%. Rare for a peds inpatient – they are admitted at Covenant in Saginaw. NICU for transfers at Covenant

  • The duties are 30% hospital and 70% clinic.

• Level 1 Nursery

• Outpatient averages about 12 patients per day, 5 inpatient per day.

• MI license at time of submission - Required

• Must have the following:

  • BLS

  • PALS

• EMR: Allscripts
