Pediatrician Needed in Central California
Central California large multi-specialty group with over 50 providers is in need of a Pediatrician.
Opportunity Profile:
The incoming Pediatric physician will practice with the other Pediatricians in the Pediatric department of the group?s medical office building, and will be given a laptop, an office, 2-3 exam rooms, and a Medical Assistant.

The incoming Pediatric physician will practice with the other Pediatricians in the Pediatric department of the group?s medical office building, and will be given a laptop, an office, 2-3 exam rooms, and a Medical Assistant.
- This is to replace a long-standing physician that will be leaving at the end of June
- 14 Primary Care providers refer directly to you; additional referrals from independent community providers
- Shareholder opportunity available after one year
- Teaching opportunities with the hospital Graduate Medical Education residency programs
- Service area covers 2 counties - 600K+ population
- Group payer mix: 75% PPO, 20% Medicare, 5% cash
- Join 6 Pediatricians and 1 Nurse Practitioner
- 100% outpatient; Monday-Friday; 8am-5pm
- Pediatric Hospitalists from Children's Hospital cover inpatient responsibilities
- 15-20 patients per half day in the clinic for an average of 30-40 patients per day
- There is no requirement to perform office based procedures but the ability to perform circumcisions would be a benefit to the group.
- Pediatric physicians in the group participate in outpatient phone call which is considered very light.
- Hospital utilizes a nurse triage service.
- AllScripts EMR fully implemented throughout the group facilities.
- Medical Clinic has sub-specialty referral patterns in place.
- The incoming Pediatric physician can expect to be busy quickly, with a full patient panel within 6 months if not sooner.
- Medical Clinic has on-site Radiology/Imaging services and a full service Lab.
- Spanish fluency NOT required.
- Majority of office staff is fully bilingual and is available for assistance with Spanish speaking patients.
- The incoming Pediatric physician can expect to be busy quickly, with a full patient panel within 6 months if not sooner.
- First year salary from the group will be negotiable (based on training, experience, and the MGMA).
- Full benefits in the first year including: medical, dental, vision insurance (covered for physician and 100% covered for dependents), life insurance, disability, malpractice and 401k with 4% matching.
- 4-weeks Paid Time Off in the first year including CME and vacation.
- Annual CME allowance provided.
- Hospital will cover licensing and credentialing fees.
- Relocation assistance and sign-on bonus
- Physicians in the group are paid on a RVU production model in year two or sooner once fully ramped up. Pediatricians are earning $300,000-$700,000 annually.
- Opportunity to become a shareholder with an initial 250 shares offered in year two, and the final 250 shares offered after five years of employment with the group.
