Pediatric Nephrology in Ohio

On behalf of Dr. Marlene Miller, Pediatrician-in-Chief for University Hospitals and Chair of the Department of Pediatrics at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital (UH/RBC), MillicanSolutions, LLC, a leader in academic pediatric executive search, has initiated a national search for candidates to practice in the Division of Pediatric Nephrology. The organizations are seeking a board certified/board eligible Pediatric Nephrologist to complement the clinical and scholarly activities of the Division. This is a full-time position including attending clinical responsibilities, participation in medical student and Pediatric resident education, pursuit of academic endeavors appropriate for promotion, and contributions to administrative responsibilities.

  • We are pleased to announce that Christina Nguyen, MD, has recently been appointed Chief of the Division of Pediatric Nephrology at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital. Dr. Nguyen comes from the UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, where she served as Medical Director, Pediatric Kidney Transplant.
  • Key opportunities, but not limited to, further development of a comprehensive Pediatric Nephrology program, expansion of ambulatory blood pressure monitoring program, and collaboration with Director of Pediatric Transplant Surgery, Meelie DebRoy, MD.
  • Qualified MD/DO or MD/DO/Ph.D. candidates must be Board Eligible/Board Certified in Pediatric Nephrology, and possess excellent procedural and clinical skills.
  • Eligibility for academic rank at the Assistant/Associate/Professor level. 2019 Fellows encouraged to apply.
  • UH/RBC is a 244-bed renowned children’s hospital and a principal referral center for Ohio and the region.
  • The Department of Pediatrics is structured into 16-academic divisions, consisting of more than 160-faculty members, and a number of clinical multidisciplinary programs, representing the full disciplinary diversity of pediatric medicine today.

Miller, MD, MSc, has been appointed Pediatrician-in-Chief for University Hospitals and Chair of the Department of Pediatrics at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital. Dr. Miller comes from the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center in Baltimore, where she served as Vice Chair of Quality and Safety since 2003, and as Chief Quality Officer, Pediatrics, for the health system since 2014. Dr. Miller is looking forward to working closely with and supporting the growth of the Division.
