Tenet Healthcare and University Pediatricians are actively seeking an experienced General Pediatrician for a full-time opportunity at Children’s Hospital of Michigan (CHM).
Full-time positions include 8 sessions per week, 2 of which are for charting. In addition to primary care, candidates must be comfortable caring for patients with complex conditions such as premature infants, ADHD, congenital heart diseases, etc.
We are seeking candidates with at least two years of post-residency experience in an academic setting as responsibilities also include teaching medical students and residents as well as some program development.
The Division of General Pediatrics as Children’s Hospital of Michigan treats children from all over the Metro-Detroit area as well as the surrounding communities. Patients’ ages range from newborn to 21 years of age. In addition to providing parent education, immunizations, and well child check-ups, pediatricians on staff see patients for a variety of acute and chronic illnesses. Primary Care specialists evaluate and treat attention deficit disorders, developmental delays, special needs, and maltreatment.
The staff participates in local, state, and federal advocacy endeavors in order to ensure the continuation of quality service for patients and families and serves as a key site for Michigan’s largest pediatrician training program.
Candidates must be BE/BC with the American Board of Pediatrics and eligible to obtain licensure in the state of Michigan. Please note that all J-1 waiver spots have been filled for 2019.
