Experienced Pediatric Hospitalist needed for newer facility in Oxford, MS!

Envision Physician Services partners with Baptist Memorial Hospital – North Mississippi to provide services for their Pediatric Inpatient unit as well as newborn services. Baptist opened a beautiful new facility recently with growth in mind, dedicating a large area to nursery and Pediatrics. We are seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist who has experience in the delivery room and feels comfortable with C-sections, high-risk deliveries, and neonatal resuscitation/stabilization.

Details of the position/facility are listed below:

  • Staffing Model: 2 Pediatric Hospitalists
  • Schedule: Week on/off schedule (Off 26 weeks per year)
    • In-house during the day
    • Call from home at night
  • Responsibilities: Pediatric floor: Admissions, Rounding. Cover nursery ,Well Baby and Level II NICU
  • PICU – ability to consult via phone with Intensivist
  • Attend C-Sections, High Risk Deliveries, ER Consults, seeing newborns and patients
  • ADC ~ 5 - 15
  • Deliveries (900/yr., attend 35% of deliveries)
  • Being comfortable with deliveries, resuscitation, and stabilization prior to transport is a MUST
  • EMR: EPIC
  • Trauma designation: Level II
  • Pediatric subspecialty support includes Pediatric Radiology, Anesthesia, and Infectious Disease available via telemedicine
